Elevator Buttons Everywhere, I Absolve You

7 Dec

I’m sure if you have a blog or website, you have the same capabilities as I do here on Nates Ramblings – I can see keywords that people have used to discover us.

You would think that my major keywords would be stuff like comics, cartoons, syndication – or – for a real stretch to make me feel good, Break of Day or Nate Fakes.  Nope.  Not even close.

Guess what it is?  Any clue?

Well, I’ll just tell you.

The number one search words for this site that you are at is:  Elevator buttons.

That’s right.

It was all sparked by a post I did last year called Elevator Madness (read it here).  A popular post?  Well, um…no.  Not really.  However, somehow, this post hits hard (like ‘hitting a button hard) with the elevator button crowd.

If you go back and read that post, you’ll see why I was interested enough in elevator buttons to devote a post to them, but other people – I’d love to hear your reasons for your interest.  Why do you Google elevator buttons?  What is YOUR deal in them?  I would really love to know.

I’m expecting to be quite popular with elevator button lovers everywhere pretty soon, especially since I’m adding – once again – ANOTHER post about them.  I just don’t know you people, elevator buttoners, that well yet on a personal level – and I want to change that.  Let’s get to know each other.

So, if you’re an elevator button enthusiast (like I’m trying to be), please take a moment and fill out my questionnaire.  I’d love to pick your brain and feel your same passion for the buttons.

Here’s a quick survey:

Question 1:  Besides elevator buttons, what else do you love?

Question 2:  Do you gently push elevator buttons or are you abusive toward them?

Question 3:  What’s your favorite:  The up button or the down?

Question 4:  What floor button is YOUR LEAST favorite button to hit?

Question 5:  Do staircases or escalators offend you?

Question 6:  What’s your favorite elevator song (examples are Love in an Elevator, by Aerosmith, Mario Elevator Music, etc.)

Question 7:  Do you like other buttons?

Question 8:  If you could be any elevator button, which one would it be?

Question 9:  What was the first elevator ride you ever took and did you hit the button for it?

Question 10:  If the world was without elevator buttons, what do you think the alternative would be?

Question 11:  Do you feel ashamed or embarrassed about your passion for elevator buttons?

—————————————————————————————————————————————————

Please, please…take your time.

And so, to further your influence you on becoming an avid fan of Nates Ramblings, elevator button fans, I’ve included a photo montage of buttons at the end of this post.  Enjoy it!

I hope to attract a ton of new elevator button fans now.  And if YOU’RE one of those fans, please pass this post on to your friends and fellow enthusiast.  I promise to keep writing about the misadventures of elevator buttons if this catches on.  And I’ll do my part in spreading the word as well.  Maybe I can help spark an Elevator Button Awareness Month…what do you think?

Well, enough about me (actually, I don’t think I’ve talked about myself too much this go-around), let’s just bold some words.  Like, elevator buttons.  Here we go!

Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!  Elevator buttons!

And now for the pictures I promised!

Above:  Absolutely beautiful buttons!

Above:  Wouldn’t you just love to push these?

Above:  Buttons, buttons EVERYWHERE!  Look at them all!

Above:  This lucky hand gets to push some.

Above:  The kind you can take home to mother.

Thanks for reading, elevator button fans!  The subscribe to this blog BUTTON is on the upper right hand side.

I see so many people searching for things that lead them to my site that have nothing to do with cartoons. Some weird peeps out there.

I just wonder what it is they’re searching for? The meaning of life?

I have a friend that dashed off a little post about a pair of Frye boots we found in an thrift store. That was over three years ago and she still gets 3-4 hits minimum a day on searches for Frye boots. Who’d’ve guessed.

Frye boots? Wow. That might be something I would look up considering I have no idea what they are! But yes, it’s weird how everything NOT related to my site (in general) are what leads many here. Mostly elevator buttons.

Wouldn’t you just love to find out who typed that and see what exactly it was they were searching for?
